Hair Straighteners

Growing up with curly and wavy hair drove me mad- while everyone else loves the way curly/wavy (and in many instances, unmanageable) hair looks, we always want something we don’t necessarily have. 

I have purchased over 7 different hair straighteners over the years, wanting to get that salon look without having to pay over $200 for a salon flat iron, that I’d likely burn my fingers and hair off whilst ironing it.  After going to my salon stylist, she informed me that I didn’t need to spend a ton of money on a great straightener and suggested the new Babyliss Professional Flat Iron.  I went out immediately and logged online to look for a good Babyliss Pro Iron and found the cutest iron ever- the Babyliss Pro Diamond Titanium Professional Iron.

I ordered it immediately from MySalonTools.com and got it within a week. I’ve had it for over 6 months now and I swear by it.  This iron is outstanding.   The specs say it heats up to 450 degrees, and while it does get incredibly hot, it is not “burn your hands off” hot, where you want to avoid touching the barrel iron end.  I would avoid touching the ceramic plates (obviously!!!).  These plates heat evenly, from what I can tell, and I never have that issue where my hair gets heated unevenly and then gets stuck to the iron resulting in “crimped” hair without the crimper or intent to crimp! It also never leaves that “my hair is fried” feel or look- my hair is always shiny after ironing with this iron, and I feel as though I walked out of the salon.

I also never have that “burning” hair product smell off of this straightener, whereas when I’ve bought others it emits this burned hair smell that lingers in your bathroom/bedroom for ages.  This is easy to clean and also comes with its own storage case, which is a DEFINITE plus.  The size of the iron is excellent- narrow iron and leaves me enough room to get close to my scalp without burning it.  The size and case are an awesome combination when travelling as well, as the size doesn’t result in a heavy object for suitcases and fit conveniently in my carryon bag.

Something I just adore about this product is the design.  Along the base handle are a series of rows of Swarovski crystals.  This addition is incredibly cute and fashionable and comes in pink as well.  The sales of the pink irons result in a large donation from Babyliss towards breast cancer research, which is a great cause and use of money.  The price of the product is a great deal less than salon irons and results in the same (if not better!) result as an hour in your stylist’s chair.   In addition to the convenient and stylish case it comes in, the iron also comes with useful combs to ensure the full-flat smooth look of your heated hair. I would recommend BabylissPro’s Titanium Diamond Professional Iron to all women with all different hair types, as it works wonders on my curly/wavy hair and is great for a touch up on already straight hair.
